Conditions of Hire


Reservations of accommodation are accepted by Lux lodge Holidays, hereinafter will be referred to as LLH in the following conditions.


1.  Contract of Hire

The hiring contract shall be between the hirer and LLH and shall be deemed subject to these conditions of hire.


2.  Initial Payment

Booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the total accommodation rental. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement date the full rental will be required. Please note that the deposit is non refundable in the event of cancellation.


3.  Balance Payment

The balance of hire will be due for payment 6 weeks before the commencement date of the hire. LLH reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received 28 days before the holiday commencement date.


4.  Confirmation of Booking

Once a booking form and deposit has been received by LLH the hirer is responsible for the total agreed price of the property as shown on the confirmation of booking.


5.  Booking Cancellation

Cancellations should be made to LLH in writing by first class post. A full refund will be given if for cancellations made at least 10 weeks before the holiday commencement date. Cancellations made between 10 weeks and 4 weeks of the commencement date will forfeit their deposit. Cancellations of 28 days or less will receive no refund unless LLH are successful in rehiring the holiday for the same price. Should LLH be successful in rehiring the holiday a £50 fee will be payable to cover administration.


6.  The use of the accommodation and amenities

Are entirely at the user’s own risk. LLH accept no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to the user’s and guests belongings. The use of the amenities offered with the accommodation are solely for the guests staying at the property.


7.  Motor Car and Personal Belongings

Baggage and personal belongings are at the hirer’s risk at all times, no responsibility can be accepted for damage or loss to any motor vehicle or its contents.


8.  Party Size

In no circumstances may the more than the maximum number of guests stay at each lodge. (Goldeneye or Shelduck 6) (Warbler or Puddle Duck 8).  It is not permissible to invite extra guests to join your group without the permission of the owners.


9.  Parties and Music

Lux Lodges are the ideal place to celebrate a special occasion but guests are reminded to consider the interests of other guests, our neighbours and the wildlife. Playing of loud music is forbidden, we ask that music is not played outside, when playing music inside please keep doors and windows closed. We ask guests to appreciate that the sound of voices and shouting travels very easily across the water.

LLH, the Management or security of Tattershall Lakes Country Park will eject anyone from the park who breaks park rules causes excessive noise or nuisance.


LLH reserve the right to refuse or revoke any bookings which from parties which in their opinion may be unsuitable for the property.


10. Groups

Single sex and groups of young people must seek prior approval from LLH and may be charged a security deposit before a booking is accepted.


11.  Hirer’s Responsibility.

The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take care of it. All equipment, utensils, crockery etc, must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. All damage and breakages are the responsibility of the hirer and their costs will be payable on demand. All breakages should be notified to LLH. Minor damages or breakages will not normally be charged for. Additional cleaning charges may be made where the property is not left in a reasonable state.



Strictly no pets allowed in Puddle Duck Lodge. Well behaved house trained dogs are allowed in Goldeneye and Shelduck Lodges. Please enquire with the owners about other pets. No pets allowed without the owner’s permission. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN BEDROOMS, Pets must not be left alone in the lodge and unless kept in a cage.We ask that pets are not allowed on the furniture and all dog hairs etc., are cleaned up and the property and gardens are left in the condition you found them. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all time on the Country Park.


13. Hot Tubs.

Where provided hot tubs are free for the use solely for the residents of that lodge, no refund will be given for breakdown or essential repairs. Sometimes it may be nessasary to clean the tub and refill prior to guests arrival, this may result in the tub not being heated up and may not be in use for the first day of a guests stay, whilst LLH try for their hardest for this not to occur sometimes it cannot be avoided and no refund will be given. The lid must be replaced and locked on tub at all times when the tub is not in use. Children must not be left unattended in the tub.


14. Force Majeure

LLH are unable to accept liability if we are prevented from supplying a service due to a Force Majeure, an event of which we cannot avoid, such as an act of god, civil commotion, riot, war, explosion, accident, flooding, hurricane, snow, unusually low or high temperatures, earthquake, terrorism, or any similar event which is beyond our control.


15.  Arrival and Departure

Arrival time is from 4.00 p.m. earlier check in can sometimes be arranged. Guests are asked to vacate the accommodation by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Late departure can sometimes be arranged please check with the owners.

The lodges must be left in the same condition they were found on arrival and rubbish should be put in the large green bin which can be found round the park.


16. Park Facilities

Passes for the swimming pool and clubhouse are not included with the hire of the lodge, passes are available from guest services at the park entrance during office hours. LLH are not responsible for facilities on the park (Tattershall Lakes Country Park) and cannot be held responsible. 17. Street Lights.

The park is in a rural location and some parts have limited street lights so you may benefit from bringing a torch.


18. Park Rules

Tattershall Lakes Country Park is owned by Away Resorts and their rules should be adhered to at all times on the park, details can be obtained from the parks customer services office or telephone 01526 348800. Away Resorts have the right to evict anyone from the park not adhering to park rules or causing a nuisance.


19. Breakdowns and Breakages.

LLH must be notified immediately of any breakdown of equipment or any accidental damage of lodge property so that it can be repaired orreplaced ready for incoming guests. You can contact Ann Justice on 07814926919.
